I looked in yellow pages under "oil fuel distibutors and suppliers"
When I went to one of the named busnesses they were also selling agricultural diesel, which wasn't what I went there for but it was interesting to note that.

It seems very wrong that you can get duty reduced fuel oil readily and easily, but not duty reduced petrol for similar purposes. When I asked HMRC about that they said you can reclaim the duty on 200 litres of petrol, or have it delivered from an oil & fuel supplier, which wasn't much help as I would only be using about 10 - 15 litres a year.
Though to be fair I just had a thought that maybe -just maybe- these oil fuel suppliers might sell it in small quantities from their premises. Hmmmm
And I wonder if there are any additives to duty reduced petrol similar to the red dye used in diesel, so they can detect it in cars?0 -
Wig, what would you use duty free petrol for? I know the reason for red diesel, but not petrol...0
