Depends on what courier. It may not be what you want to hear but currently at my employer (Interflora) our couriers are 7-10 days behind due to the weather stopping trunk lorries delivering to distribution hubs.

I read somewhere recently that Royal Mail are not honouring their next day promise with Special Delivery because of recent problems. However, we ordered a phone on Thursday night and it arrived by Special Delivery on Saturday morning.

  • None of the couriers are guaranteeing next day service at the moment, last Sunday I paid extra for an order to be delivered by city link early on Tuesday morning, looking at the tracking information it's scheduled to arrive tomorrow so fingers crossed it'll only be 6 days late. I'm also waiting on a phone being delivered to me via Orange, it was ordered Wednesday, shipped Thursday via DPD and like yours has shown no movement since getting to the depot. Check http://www.dpd.co.uk/product-services/product-services-uk/uk_update.htm there's a list of backlogs, my local depot is now showing a 4 day backlog so I've no clue when I'll be getting my new phone :(

I looked at Interfloras list of courier affected post codes on Friday (sent via e-mail from HDNL) and it would have been easier to list the non affected areas as it was 4 columns wide on 8 x A4 pages (on the e-mail....).

  • He stated he used DPD not Royal mail, I ordered a phone on the 8th, again next day delivery, still not received it either, I phoned Orange on Fri who told me DPD are working over the weekend up to Christmas, if I check the tracking it says its at HUB3 which appears to be the national hub so its not even made it to my local hub for delivery, Complete disaster

  • Judging by these reviews http://www.trustpilot.co.uk/review/www.dpd.co.uk I wouldn't hold much hope of anything coming tomorrow
