BMW folding mirrors...

OK, so I have a 2004 325Ci thing at the minute and someone wants to know if its possible to make the electric folding mirrors fold when you lock/unlock the car? Cos "its really annoying having to press the button"

  • I wish I could press a button to fold my mirrors. Never mind it doing it automatically when I lock the car.

    I have to get out and fold them myself. :(

    Doesn't look like you can do it from BMW, but there might be a third party option available - Note this thread refers to the e90 rather than e46

    I know that you can get a module to do this for the Rover 75 - a guy called Raistlin makes the kit to do it ("ultimate oem remote", but it involves running wires into the doors...)

    I think the e46 & Rover 75 folding mirrors are very similar wiring wise.

    They should have plenty of reserve energy from that saved when they don't use it all on operating the indicators.. :D
  • Thats E46 Shape on that year?.... GFs E46 has the press button mirrors but she wants it off the fob... Quick google kicks up it can be done... It's being swapped sometime next year so it wont be done

    So hard work pressing the button:)
