Advice please - Town & City parking

ceecee1 - same thing happed to us this morning (except I'm in my 30s and we have no bad weather) - forgot to put out mum's badge. I have already paid up and written a letter to Town & City. Guess I won't be seeing that money again. Feeling quite aggrieved now that I acted so quickly.
UPDATE (already)
I phoned Asda - if these companies are unenforceable then I thought that I would go to the supermarket itself. Got put through to Customer Services. I explained the situation to a gentleman who offered to put me through to Town & City. Having spoken to a lady, she advised to send in a copy of the blue badge and I would then get a refund. Letter is written and is ready to post. I'll update in a couple of weeks when it should have been dealt with.
That won't happen. T&C are not going to allow an appeal IMHO, cos there is NO appeal.
Computer says 'no'!
Why don't you just tell the Bank that the cheque has been lost in the post, they will stop it for free in that case. Then you never have to wait for T&C to renege upon what they said on the phone.
And ceecee1, you will find out quite soon about that so-called appeals process. Please ignore them.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

but...
nobody should be under any illusions; a refund is rarer than rocking horse ****..
FWIW, my guess is that the PPC is becoming aware of the increased criticism of their practices; allowing the odd appeal (and keeping careful records) lets it off the hook should the co. come under scrutiny.
you had 'right' on yr side but IMO luck played a bigger part in settling this.

Well done, we are all amazed and impressed (with you, not the PPC who have allowed this for their own ends). :T
But please NEVER fall for this generic scam again. You should not have paid, these companies have no powers to fine you whatsoever, it was just a begging letter.
File any fake PCNs in future. Only ever take seriously real tickets from the Council or the Police.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Glad you got a result, I bet it had more to do with the fact you went through Asda first. I know we are a cynical lot here, but I doubt it would have been the same if you appealed to the PPC bypassing Asda!0 -
Town and City are still displaying illegally signs in ASDA car-parks, with talk of "Civil Penalty Charges". As I have said before, I phoned T&C about this and they said that the signs are being replaced. When I asked why a piece of tape could not be stuck over the offendibg words I was told that "this wasn't possible".
I noticed this week in the Retford that they had managed to stick some tape on their signs changing the cost of the "penalty" to £60, but not over the actual "penalty" word. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0
