Had my contract for 12,5 months with CPW and wanted to upgrade, but they refused give me good deal.

2nd Feb - Asked them for PAC and said that have to leave. (PAC was issued over a phone)
5th Feb - bought new phone on and used PAC number
5th Feb - received copy with PAC number and stated that I had to give them 30 days notice and they will invoce me. EVEN after 12 month contract???
14th Feb - received new bill and was billed for line rental from 14 Feb - 13 March.

Why should I pay them for another 30 days even after 12 month?
PAC number was given on 2 Feb, so 30 days notice (if it should apply) should be from 2nd Feb - 1 March. Its 2 weeks less!

Please help me, what should I tell CPW to avoid payment? Thank you.

I'd have a chat about it; it may not be the problem it looks; you may end up with a credit on the closing bill, and it will depend on how many minutes you used in the last 2 weeks.

I had similar just recently. I have a final T-mobile bill with about £4 credit, after the last month was partly refunded (I must check soon to see if they're refunding).

Also I just stopped an Orange contract; the recent bill has a full month, and as I used up the included minutes I heard by dialling 150 (I expected it to be pro rata, but maybe it wasn't - that's what they said), I may be charged the full month. I await a bill in a few days with interest.

So have a chat with them; if you have a remaining minutes announcement based on a complete month, you may need to work out a pro-rata version.

I've never used any number porting, so others can advise on what date the transfer is effective; I can see 3 or 4 guesses I could believe. Or is the new phone already connected? In which case I'm waffling off-topic; maybe you've burned the period up to 1 March

There is almost always a month's notice on a contract
