charged data but havent used it

orange have charged data useage on my account.

but i havent used the internet with my phone through the contract only on homes wifi only

have never connect via orange


so why have i been charged

i duno, when i set fone up from box it said internet connection and listed orange, wifi etc

i pressed wifi only

If it's an iPhone then the apps access the net without you realising it. I had this happen in Spain earlier this year and got a £45 bill. Thankfully O2 refunded the money in full so it's worth contacting Orange. There is a patch to stop it happening so download it from the Orange or iTunes website. Sorry can't recall what it's called but Orange customer services should be able to tell you.

I have a desire, so I assume the settings are similar. Go into settings, then wireless and networks, then scroll down to mobile network, and make sure this is unticked. This should stop it connecting via the network when wireless isnt available.

i have done this. i did it other day, so maybe it was my partner when it first come.

its not much anyway but wanted to know why i did that and i think its sorted now
