Grabbits going on too long ??

Hello, I like to look through the grabbits a couple of times a day. I notice that even when an item is no longer available for purchase the thread carries on discussing delivery, etc, etc.
I would have thought that as soon as it unavailable it should be moved to the ' gone but was it any good' section. Maybe rename it 'No longer available but ....' ??
I have clicked on the expired button on some but nothing seems to happen.
Any thoughts from anyone else.
