    No.93 reporting in.
    October overpayment of 577.00.
    Mortgage outstanding is 89,200.

I can fully understand how it is really starting to bite on the budgets.
Things are really starting to bite, I have gone back under term time working so my salary has dropped, have lost out to single status, childcare fees, food, petrol, utilities etc.

So I will be reviewing the overpayment and unfortunately will have to reduce it down.:(

On the upside Ive been getting xmas presents throughout the year so nearly sorted.

Anyway enough of me waffling, keep up the good work everyone.

Checking in for October. With a combination of some maturing bonds, overpayments and a bonus I've managed a £10,874.70 contribution for October.

That takes me to £30,149.02 against a target of £20,000. So I've done it! :D

Bonus was a bit of a ...well... bonus, so unlikely to occur again.

Only £52,159.06 to go. Hoping to nail that during 2013 spring or summer. Check my diary thread for updates.

    Cheers,

    Drew.

  • A belated thank-you to BlackTaxi and FluffySox for encouragement a few days ago.

I just spit my dummy out now and again in a fit of guilt that I spend money on things other than my mortgage - some of it on necessities and some of in varying degrees of frivolity. I've always been prone to over-thinking things and looking for problems.

Anyway, BT I think your holiday sounds like a good idea - you only live once and your dad must be a very special man. Fluffysox - thanks for the tip about savings. I already do those things so it's good to know I'm on the right track.

Feeling quite excited about next month (no, not Christmas) because I'm going to get that mortgage down below £30k!!!
