katsu - handing in the dissertation / honors project is the best bit of uni - relish in it and TAKE A COPY for YOURSELF! something i didnt do but wish i did (time was an issue sadly!)

remember the formatting on *every* page - god knows how may folk got knocked down for a different font on one page or having the margins out on 1 page or something likes that.

have you written it? whats it on? whats it due on?

Hi Doomcow. I'll keep a soft copy but can't see the point of a hard copy to keep. Extra costs of printing, use of paper and having to store it!

I'm only at the start of the process. Aiming to submit in the summer but will depend on circumstances as I get made redundant in January. I'm doing a masters dissertation on HR as that is the profession I work in.

Wish I could see it that way! With my writing I have to have a hard copy and several soft copies. Mainly due to the panic when the USB stick with the entire first draft of my novel broke, I managed to fix it but don't want to risk it again! So if I forget to print something, or save it, then I'll always have a copy somewhere. Unfortunately, it means that my living room is full of teetering piles of paper! I will get round to it eventually, I'm going to turn my hallway into a study to keep it all tidy... that's the plan anyway...

I walked round the corner to my dad's earlier, it's about an inch solid ice all through the village apart from on the main road, scary stuff! I'm just really glad I did my panic stocking up on winter clothes back in September, and that I could actually remember where I'd stored the boots with a big grip. Best £7 I've ever spent!

aye i hope this usb stick works if i plug it in - thing is some of my appendices were hand written so i'll need to go to uni and get a carbon copy if i can - i think its locked in their library. i even have the "put it in the library" slip...

still in the mood for pakora, gah!

    Evening!

Mum has broadband, yay! I'm glad I brought my laptop with me.

Kayleigh, I did notice your reply, they've been nicer since then. I still haven't a clue what to do though!

Right, I'm off to trawl ebay and online bookshops for textbooks, oh joy...

Yeah, I did notice things had calmed down since I chipped in. Glad to be of help! :D

    Morning All

Catching up on last night's Strictly. Well I have it on but to be honest haven't seen much of it, keep going off into day dreams and then realising I have missed another dance! I am also ironing and have got the washing machine on. I still like to put the washing on the line even though there is no chance of it getting dry!

Off to our local Christmas Market this afternoon, we are helping to run a stall for the fundraising committee we are on (raising funds to replace a village hall near us) and they kindly said that my daughter could sell her jewellery there as well, so the room is full of stuff at the moment, waiting to be packed.

    Hello All,

I'm in the library. Still awaiting my broadband at home.

The pavements are TERRIBLE here. I've taken to walking on the road. Went out to a Camra do last night. Sliding across the ice on the way to it was terrifying. Got them to drop me off at the top of the road on the way back just to avoid the ice.

    Right better do some work.

  • Hi everyone

Snow just about disappeared from here yay! just the odd bits of ice but nothing to bad.

Been to matalan this afternoon to get my son a much needed new coat. When we got there they had a half price sale on womens coats and knitwear, well i spent the first 5 minutes running around trying things on. Then i looked in the mirror and said to myself do i really need another coat, it really was lovely but i did resist and i'm proud of that. Still got my sons jacket though and some babygros for a ex neighbour of mine who has just had a baby girl and for my husbands first grandchild for xmas. But i didn't buy anything for me, but i was very tempted.

Ames i was on the housing forum and saw what some people said to you, what nasty people ther is in this world.
