11th & 12th Dec *Wonderful Weekend* Daily Chat!

Hi,

@ Ames - I don't know if you noticed, but I popped into that other thread of yours to defend you in my usual 'bull in a china shop' fashion. I must check for replies later. :D

As we didn't have a chat until 8:30 last night ( ), I thought I'd start this one bright and early. I've got a day of essay writing ahead of me and then work this evening. The glamour of life as a student is almost overwhelming. *rolls eyes*

I don't know if I mentioned but on Wed, I was off sick with the runs (I know, tmi) and my boss obviously thought I was trying to swing it. I can see his point, I called in sick at 5pm (when it started) and my shift started at 6 and he was already 2 drivers down. Plus, the next day was my day off. So he asked me to get a sick note, even though I know I can self-certificate for up to a week. So I got one (and even managed to get it for free by playing the 'stress' card :money:), handed it into work on my way back from the doctors as the main branch of my doctor's is just up the road from work (I usually use the clinic at my uni but I didn't think I could get an appointment on such short notice there), got to work that evening and guess what? Yep, you guessed it, my boss is off sick until Mon! :rotfl: I know I shouldn't be laughing at him being ill but I'm so asking to see his sick note when he gets back, it's too good an opportunity to miss, quite frankly. :D

So, what's everyone else up to today? Has anyone still got snow?

No snow here. Had to get up as neck/shoulder pain too uncomfy for a lie in!

Plan for today is to clear clutter and get DH (as I can't do it!) to move living room furniture to get in desk, and go look at office chairs in the second hand furniture store.

That depends if any of your debts are with the same bank or a linked one. If they are, you need to withdraw the money until you can open another account or the bank will take it to pay the debts, leaving you with nothing. It's completely legal and known as 'offsetting'.

I thought that once you gave them the CCCS no they took you off auto dialler?
  • good morning everyone

no snow for me and the sky is a lovely blue colour, OH has gone out on his bike for a ride and kids are still in bed. Dog is curled up on my feet and I love days like this no stress and nothing to rush around for.

In theory they should. (At least if you have defaulted)

    In practice, they often won't.

  • Morning all, overtime at work for me today - so instead of getting a lie-in this morning was up at 5am again! Feels so wrong being up at that time on a Saturday!
Will be spending the afternoon ironing and working out my SOA to get that posted, and maybe try and wash my car - the poor thing, you wouldn't know it was white underneath all that grit! :(

Afternoon all. Hope everyone is having a busy but stress free Saturday afternoon.

Going to visit MIL in hosp shortly and then need to buy the kids some clothes which may be quite stressful as will have them with me, all three of them.

    Wish me luck.

    Check in later.

big lols at your boss Kayleigh - serves him right.

ive been given the "we need a sick note" card too, but ultimately the docs can refuse to give you it if you have not been off work for a week.

they do "fit notes" now so if you break a leg they can prescribe you to do desk work etc :S

anyway - went to the gym (free) this morning, done a shopping list, gona play some games, hit tesco and have a nice wee night in with xfactor & then watch ratatoullie (best film EVER) in blu-ray i think... gona get my old man to sky+ transformers on film4 tonight at 9 too!!!!!!

i need new clothes - what i have currently is hanging off me, if i pinch stuff i have at least 5 inches spare or something, but im not (i REFUSE) to buy new clothes till i hit the 16 and a half stone mark, which is near :) but snow = no workouts, allllllthough i have managed to loose some lbs as opposed to building muscle.

    cheers :)
