Petrol prices hit a new high

:beer::beer::beer:

Well done petrol. :j
Petrol prices have hit a record average level of 121.76p for a litre of unleaded petrol, according to the monitors Experian Catalist.
It is expected that fuel prices will rise further in January once increased fuel duties and the higher VAT rate come into play.

    POO currently $88 a barrel compared to $147 at its peak. The devaluation of Sterling (1.9854 to the $ on July 11th 2008) along with the numerous (5 or 6?) tax rises in the past couple of years are responsible.

    its called inflation...

    Lets hope you get plenty of wage inflation too.

    I got myself a big diesel... changed from Hot hatch, either way im up in the pocket, would be better without increases.

    Starting to take the pee now, I'm spending £70 a week on fuel and I get 45-50 mpg, and the wife is spending £25. Can't move closer to work as were in the middle of both our jobs commuting time wise, of one hour opposite ways.

    Even at the lower MPG that is nearly 600 miles a week, have you got a long commute or do you work on the road sometimes?

    How about a drive in to Parliament Square?

    I have a company fuel card and I live in a city where the price of oil directly impacts house prices.

    So yes.... :beer:

    84 mile round trip to main job 2-3 days a week, plus part time business on days off that involves traveling to customers in a 20 mile rural radius.

    Then there is the 400 mile round trip to the parents, try to get there at least every 3 weeks but have been known to do the the trip 5 weekends in a row.
