Getting paid early in December

I don't spent it early and I do budget for it, but do you seriously think that if I ring up all the people I have to pay bills to and tell them that I'm being paid less this month, they'll let me off with a smaller bill just to suit me? No! It doesn't work that way. That's why being paid at a consistent date every month makes it easier for people. Nothing to do with not being careful enough with our money.
If you clearly know you're getting paid less in December, surely it makes sense save up a bit of money over the year to help alleviate the pressure of getting a smaller pay packet in December.
That's what I'd do. Or is that too easy?
£20 a month in a savings account would give you an extra £240 to go towards padding out Decembers pay packet.0 -
I normally get paid at the end of the month, but mid month in December. I'm not sure whether it's meant to be for my benefit, so I can spend it all early, or if it's so the payroll department can book holidays for the last two weeks in December. I suspect a bit of both.
Either way, it doesn't bother me. I don't mind when I get paid, just so long as I get paid correctly!0 -

Normally get paid the day before the last day of the month but in December we always get paid a week early
No problem really just transfer it into savings acc until its payday
But as been said you just budget for itHave a nice day0 -
i get paid weekly so no problems for me i would hate to be paid monthly although we do get our bonuses on the first of every month exept january which we will get with our christmas wage
ps just joined this site and looking forward to saving some money will keep you posted:Djust because you are paranoid doesnt mean to say they are not out to get you0 -
If you have a regular payday every month and it falls on a weekend or bank holiday, you should be paid the Friday before surely? Are you saying when the 1st falls on a Sunday you are not paid until the Monday? Wow.
Because we are paid upto the midnight of the last day of the month, they can't pay us early, so we have to wait until the month is over and all the work has been accounted for.0 -

That is harsh. The only experience I've had where I was paid early it was the full month's pay but a week or so early.loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.0
