Getting paid early in December

Just wondering when everyone gets paid in December? In every other job i've had, i've been paid on an earlier date in December but my current employer apparently doesn't.

Just wondering how common place this is.

For 1 out of 2 full time jobs I've had, I've been paid the same time. In my current (3rd) job there are rumours we'll be paid early but nothing confirmed as yet.

It's worse to be paid early unless you get a Christmas bonus imo - money seems tighter after the event & VAT won't help.

The only time I've ever been paid early over Christmas is if usual pay day has fallen on a bank holiday.

Yip, early pay for me and hubby, both on the 17th.. which is fairly normal for us, we always get paid about a week early (usually pay on 25th each month)

being paid on the 22nd instead of the 31st. not too impressed and will make things difficult but we shall have christmas spirit to get us through it =p

Hubby is 4 weekly,get ours xmas eve.

I have had the option since being in this job, however, I prefer it at normal time because otherwise as someone else said it seems to have to stretch further and makes January a long month!

We used to be paid early but it was changed about 3 years ago so now we get paid at the end of the December, the same as every other month

Ditto - I am also paid on the 17th and then have to wait until the 25th Jan.

Luckily hubby is paid weekly so we should survive!

I'm normally paid on the 25th of every month, or the Friday before if the 25th lands on a weekend/bank holiday.

This year I think we'll be getting paid on Christmas Eve, which suits me down to the ground as I won't spend any money (bar Diesel to get to parents house) for at least a week.

i normaly get paid on the 25th but apparently its going to be the 21st this month.
