They are not authorised by Apple, not that there is anything wrong with that. TJ Maxx which is what they are called in the US ran the same offer a couple of weeks ago.

I saw some in Reading today, right by the entrance. There was a girl standing on sentry duty by them, and no-one was going anywhere near them!

Well I went in at 9am on the 17th December and they hadn't come in yet, but were due in, as I only work round the corner I kept going back to check, there were 3 other people who were waiting in the store from 8am that morning, I was told if I waited with the others they would guarantee I could get one, so I waited and waited and waited, at 3.30pm they said that due to the snow DHL were running behind schedule and if we left a mobile number and could get back in 10 - 15 min once called they would sell to us first.Went back at 6pm still no delivery but they promised they would call as soon as they arrived, nothing Saturday or Sunday despite numerous calls to them, called a couple of times today and still nothing, I was thinking well why would they call me when they could sell them umpteen times over (they were only getting 5)
Well at 3.15pm today I get a call saying they are there and they will hold it till tomorrow morning, Being impatient and wanting to make sure I got one i go straight round and collect MY NEW 16GB WIFI IPAD which is in a retail Apple box for £329
So a big thanks to the staff at Kingston Upon Thames T K Maxx for keeping to their word, I am a happy bunny now and £100 better off
Not sure if the others will be collected as 3 of the people who reserved on Friday were from Essex and may not come back, this may help someone else.
