It has been confirmed at a lot of stores on HUKD. But most sold within minutes with most stores only getting 4 ipads.

Hi, I can confirm it :j
Went to local TKMAXX (Clapham Junction) and they sold the last one to the guy in front of me
Asked when they will get new stock, apparently soon but they cant confirm the date..

I would imagine the fact T K Maxx have these suggests that Apple are definitely offloading 'old stock' in readiness for iPad 2? I suppose it's a waiting game - will they be even cheaper in Jan 11 or will they all have sold out? Decisions...

Apple rarely offload old stock. As an example the ipod nano remains the same price right until the day of the release of a new version and only then you might save a few pounds off the old version. They dont seem to reduce prices in anticipation of a new release.

Some are saying TKMax are selling these at below cost for publicity. Apparently they are not authorised resellers for Apple either so I dont think Apple will have supported this.

That's odd because I've had several bargains over the years from Apple's official online store. They actually describe them as refurbs but every item I've bought has been brand new. What all of them had in common was they were generally a generation older than the current version.

I phoned My local TKMaxx store and only 1 of the three local stores are stocking them. They are BRAND new not pre owned or seconds but its just a marketting thing as when i phoned yesterday they told me the delivery should be in today so i phoned today they told me they should be in sometime today but couldnt tell me when and they could'nt reserve or hold any AND they were only getting a whopping 10.
If any you are lucky and your store has them in stock goto PC world and you can price match and get an extra 10% from the difference so you would walk away with a ipad 32gb wifi for £390 how much would that !!!! off PC world:D:D.

Looks like Ill be forking out the £500 though..
