Married Quarter and Water Charges

Hi All,
Hope someone can give me a bit of advise with something.
I have been in my MQ for about 18 months and have recently recieved a letter from Thames Water addressed to MOD at my home address welcoming me as a new customer and stating that they have fitted a water meter (not to my knowledge!!) at the property and that I can expect my first bill within 6 months!! Now, while I am pretty sure that this is an error somewhere along the line, as all MQ residents are exempt from water charges, I dont want to ignore it only to be hit with a big bill further down the line.
Can anyone advise me as to what I should do regarding this? To the best of my knowledge, I am the only one on my 'patch' to have recieved one of these. If it helps anyone, I am quartered at Wroughton, Swindon.
Many thanks all!!

I would be straight on the phone to Defence Estates as Quartering Charges include Water Rates. This might have been a mistake by the water board and I'm sure DE would love to know about it.IVA Completed - 2010"Wine for my men, we ride at dawn"960

We had a simular letter when we moved in to our current quater, I just contacted the water board and told them. They still send the odd letter, updating their terms of agreement, telling me what they are liable/responsible for.
Contact them as you do not pay water rates, they should know this.Proud to have dealt with our debtsStarting debt 2005 £65.7K.

I worked for a company that worked for a water company ( no quicker way of saying that lol) and some addresses do NOT show up as MOD. So when it hits the computer system bills are produced.
All you really need to do is call Thames and let them know, they might ask for something in writing but you should be able to get that.
It is a mistake and can be fixed without to much fuss.There is a race of men that don't fit in; A race that can't stand still;
