How long should an isa transfer take?

I am transferring my first direct isa to a halifax isa and was wondering how long this should take?

Mine took 6 weeks.
But you have the Halifax promise so I got double interest for 5 of those weeks (one week it was in the post).

First Direct are pretty efficient (small back office it appears) so I would guess under two weeks...

I did the exact same swap. It took 10 days and Halifax gave me interest for 5 of those days.

Agreed but Halifax are not.
It took them a week to send our forms to First Direct.

They messed yours up royally iirc.

I suspect their "paying interest on money they don't have" promise will be driving something a bit more efficiently.
