Bad news guys...I'm needing to up the overdraft :( lots of extra's always come up at this time of year, so adding £300 to my total :( soo gutted. So thats the overdraft maxed....god help me in the new year! On the plus side everything else has decreased!

Hoping my next post will be about the overdraft going down too :)

Hi MM, thought I'd say 'hi!'....

My husband and I also borrowed for our wedding (over 3 years ago!) and although I don't believe in regret, I know we could have saved up if we had the discipline to do so. Instead, we ploughed our small wedding fund into renovating the house and, urm, going on holiday. Oops. Then, took a loan out to have the wedding that we really wanted.

I'm also looking to start a family and have similarish debt to you. Sooo, will be following your diary with interest!

Good luck with your debt busting!

  • Welcome, at least you have a clear picture on where the money went, some people spend years trying to get debt never truly understand their own debt cycle. You clearly have a good understand on what you need to to reduce the debts - Good luck and keep us posted!

Hi there, thanks for your comment, it is really good to hear that someone else is in debt due to similar "mistakes" and also trying to get out of debt for similar goals....look forward to hearing more from you in the coming months :0)

here i am...red faced....month 2 and already not had a good month :( had to max the overdraft :( new tyres needed :( i suppose thats what we get for not having a contingency :( paid everything else, but unfortunately the total has went up ever so slightly (but still up) because of the increase in overdraft rather than overpayments.

On the upside....its a new month! Here's to March! :)

well thats me updated my signature for March....had an ok month, just ploughing through day-by-day. Looking forward to updating next month, one of the two finance agreements we have will get paid off and the account will be cancelled...catalogues will NEVER be signed up for again!! BNPL - fun at the time, not so much fun a year later when the amount is due to be paid to avoid huge interest rates!

I feel like once we get through next month, we will really start to see things changing, because then we can start reducing that overdraft, then start the overpayments for the car.

Sooo, still on track for the December aim...woohooooo! Although it is going to be a long summer :(:(

See you all next month :)
