The Advertising Protection Agency, to give it its proper name, is just another scam designed to part the gullible from their money. See this thread:

There's plenty of threads on MSE about 'charity' publication scammers. Here's one:

  • You must be daft to part with your money with (TAPA) The Advertising Protection Agency. I checked them out on "whocallsme 08443573311" on google.

    Hello

Im new to this forum so my apologies in advance if this thread is in the wrong place.

I have been recieving a number of unsolicited sales calls from Charitable Publication Company most saying that I agreed to advertise in there charity mags a few months earlier. I know I did not place the orders and there all asking for money now.

I have heard that The Advertisement Protection Agency (TAPA) are the ones to join to stop these cold-callers and scammers. I was just wondering if anyone in this forum is a member? Does TAPA really do what they say they do on their website?

For a £79.99 set-up fee plus £9.65 a month after that is TAPA really worth joining or is it just another lost cause.

Look forward to hearing you thoughts

    Best Regards,
    Jason

they are both the same thing.. Hassle you with calls then you find out about TAPA and you sign up with them and the calls mysteriously stop?
