Just click tools, add-ons, and see if NoScript is listed under Extensions0

If you mean "do I have JavaScript enabled?" go to Tools, then Options, then the Content tab, and see if there's a tick in the box in front of "Enable JavaScript"...0

There are a number of script extensions for Firefox, noscript is the most well know.
YesScript to blacklist selected sites.
RequestPolicy is very good if you are surfing in potentially dangerous places (most of the internet). Prevents requests to/from other sites unless allowed. But it does make general browsing difficult.
It might be worth having two copies of Firefox running, one with higher security and another for more general and safe browsing. This can be done if the shortcut options are changed.
-p show profile dialogue
-p "profile name"
-n-remote to allow two or more instances of firefox
Running browsers in a sandbox can also help prevent Malware infestation. I do all my browsing in a Sandbox. Malware frequently gets installed from ads on some sites. Ad networks are sometimes hacked to add Malware into their advert feeds.0 -

Use of noscript by someone with virtually no tech ability is just going to lead to a stream of problems with websites not working properly imo.0

i believe (but could be wrong) sandbox is a way of protecting the browser when you use the internet0
