Problem with Adobe Photoshop

I'm not holding out much hope, but posting here just incase a genius can help me!
Basically I use my boyfriend's laptop, which has always had a trial version of something called Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2 on it. Since I've used his laptop, I've always used this to download/edit my photos from my digital camera, as it's the programme that the laptop automatically used.
Today, I plugged my camera in and as always, it downloaded my photos and automatically deleted them from my camera, as it usually does. Except it then told me that the trial has run out and wanted me to register in order to get an Unlock Code. So I put all my details in, and it said I would receive an E-Mail with my Unlock Code.
I received an E-Mail, but what it said was that Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2 is no longer available, and to please visit the Adobe website if I'd like to download another of their products.
So at the moment, I can't get onto the Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2 on my computer - I can see all the photos in the background of the screen, but can't physically do anything with them because it's still got this box in front asking for an Unlock Code. If I close the box, it closes the whole programme.
It's deleted all the photos from my camera, and now I can't get to them on my computer either.
Out of desperation I phoned Adobe, and spoke to a very unhelpful man who basically told me 'tough luck'.
Does anyone know of ANYTHING I can do to retrieve my photo's?

Well the photo's themselves will be stored on the hard drive somewhere if you can see them.
Have you tried using Picasa? It's free and from google :-), it will scan your hard drive and put everything into an album for you, might be worth a shot to see if it can recover those photo's.
http://picasa.google.com/
Try that and if it doesn't work, i'll think of something else
Edit:
After a bit of googling have you tried looking for your photo's in this album:
My Documents\My Pictures\Digital Camera Photos folder ?

I'm sure you can find the photos on your hard drive. It should only be photoshop that is locked and not your photos. You can use many free softwares to edit photos, photoshop is probably a bit of an expensive overkill for such a function.0 -
First of all you need to contact adobe to let them know your problems with getting the key sent to your email and they should email you a key or unlock code.
I did phone them, and was told there's nothing they could do as the product is no longer available, therefore they couldn't even give me a temporary unlock code.
I got a bit irate with the first man I spoke to as he was very dismissive, so I actually called back again when I'd calmed down and was unfortunately told the same thing by someone else, LOL!
Thank you everyone for your responses, I will try all your suggestions this evening0 -
Don't worry, your photos are on your hard drive somewhere, it's just a case of finding them. Don't do any system restores before you have recovered them and don't install or uninstall Photoshop!
Try searching your hard drive for filenames with graphic extensions such as .jpg .bmp .png .tif
Cameras usually transmit photos as jpg's or possible some raw format but photoshop might of changed the format to photoshops own such as .psd0 -
I'm glad my PM worked

Installing a newer cracked version will most likely cause photoshop to uninstall the old version first. It could remove the photos if your not very careful. If the photos are important, then I don't think it smart to take the chance with them. It could work out, but it might not. A bit of a gamble with your photos.0
