    It's done now though. I would suggest that from now on you do not respond to any mail from them. I hope you didn't give them your phone number too!

    You'll probably get quite a few letters from them before they give up and they will be from different companies too so keep your eyes open.

    If you receive a summons it will be from the court not from the company. I doubt very much whether it will get that far though.
  • Even if they send you the summons they're entitled only to their actual losses, which will be in the order of a few pounds, not a few tens of pounds.

    But they won't bother, its easier for them to make their money by frightening people into paying. The smart ones say nothing.

    I agree the loss could have been a quid or so at most. They are so blinded with greed and their own self importance that they rejected OP's more than generous offer, so now are entitled to diddly squat imho.

    globalloon should Ignore them from now on.
