ccj for parking?

I'm desperately seeking proper advice here
I paid for 3 hours parking at a Premier Park site, was 30 mins over and received a ticket for £100. I wrote and said that their charge was unreasonable and offered to pay a fair sum of £25
they wrote back and said I had to pay the full amount but did not address the point in my letter which was that as i breached a contract, i was liable for damages... which i was willing to pay
the fee has now been passed to a debt collection agency, so my question is: do i stand a chance of having the potential CCJ against me declined if i defend myself through the court?
or any advice on how i should proceed

It's a civil matter, not a criminal one.... Therefore you cannot get a CCJ for this.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Er, no. CCJs ARE civil.
The OP would only get a CCJ registered against him if proceedings were issued (unlikely), he lost the case (even less likely) and then if he failed to pay the judgment debt within 28 days.0 -
The best plan, as others will attest will be to ignore them. The DCA is likely someone at the next desk. the consequential loss if they went to court is a trifle, a couple of quid at most for overstaying by 30 mins and would be likely struck out. Does the "Invoice" closely resemble a real council PCN? and do they refer to a "fine" this is illegal as a private company cannot issue a fine. You offered a more than fair offer in settlement, a fiver would have been more appropriate, in fact a fat zero is all they should get. They are highly unlikely to take you to court Best plan is to ignore them. But for further advice, go to http://forums.pepipoo.com/ for further info.0

But.... This wouldn't go to county court, maybe small claims court at most (which as far as I know if different).“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

No - the small claims section is just a part of the county court (which is a civil court). Claims are dealt with on the same summons form, and failure to pay a judgment debt would result in a CCJ.0 -

Strider maybe your the same age as me when they had County Session courts? which was a quarterly crown court, now all covered in the crown court system.:D
As above it is a claim for money and if you lost a county court judgement would be entered against you unless you paid within 28 days.
However this is all a side issue as the threats may come but that's about all that will.
Ignoring them is the best option from now.0 -
Who issued the ticket Council or micky mouse car parking. If council its the Mags court if Micky Mouse County Court. M mouse don't talk to them -don't tell them anything.
I've got a few tickets - sorry wife has, only used for lighting the fire.
Ignore them, if by the very remotest chance they do start proceedings, there are loads of people on the board who will advise you what to do.
Sit back relax & used their letters for pass the parcelPrivate Parking Tickets - Make sure you put your Subject Access Request in after 25th May 2018 - It's free & ask for everything, don't forget the DVLA
