Just highlight the error on the V5C and send back that page with a covering letter to DVLA asking for the amendment to be made. You should get an amended V5C within 2-4weeks.

The info would have come from the manufacturer originally, but is easily amendable.

I've tried that already and they simply sent the V5C back to me with no explanation. :(
SEAT have told me that I'd probably need a certificate of conformity which is what I have now requested from SEAT head office. It'll be interesting to see what is on the certificate of conformity. If it's correct then I'll send it to the DVLA with the V5C and a covering letter. If it's wrong then I'll have to try and get SEAT to correct it.

Nah, all you need is a letter from SEAT customer service saying

"We confirm that the vehicle with registration XXXXXXX is a 5 door Seat xxxxxx "

Hope you didn't have to pay for that certificate I have heard they cost upwards of £100. I got my letter free from Vauxhall.

Another option would be to ask your next MOT tester to put the exact model including no. of doors on the certificate, that should also be enough for them.

Does the Ibiza have the handle in the rear window like the Leon does? (so it looks like a 3 door from a distance?)
