hope this hasnt been posted already, but voda are offering 0870,0800 and 0845 for a fiver a month and this will allow you, to call the above numbers, free, well not really free, as the minutes, come out of your bundle, but for those who call these numbers often, you might save some money.

  • I hope other networks decide to follow suit, non-geographic numbers are so expensive and so many companies use 0800 numbers to be "customer friendly", but they're not so friendly if your primary phone is a mobile. I find myself spending quite a while looking for alternative numbers whenever I have to phone one of theses so I'd probably shell out an extra fiver a month just for the convenience.

If you call 02002220700 you will be promted to dial the 0800 number you wish to call, it will come out of your inclusive minutes, and from memory it only used 1 inclusive minute however long I was on the phone.

  • Thanks, I'll give it a try and have a play with it although it's less convenient than just being able to dial the numbers as normal. Although I'd be wary of these services as they often end up excluded from networks inclusive allowances even if they have worked in the past as there's generally something in the T&C against "access numbers".
