Buying cheap cigarettes in krakow poland

I just got back from a 24 hour trip to krakow, poland to buy 12 months supply of cigarettes. It is well worth the trip. 112 zloty for 200 which is about £22. A very big saving. Buy from the tabac or supermarket in the new indoor shopping centre next to the main railway station. Prices are regulated so the same everywhere. Bought marlborough lights.
Krakow itself is a lovely place for a weekend away. Very cheap, very beautiful and very safe.

beware being stopped at customs - limit is 200 cigarettes. brother in law got stung big time with duty
taken from heathrow website
"you do not have to pay any tax or duty on goods you have bought in another EU country as long as tax was included in the price when you purchased the items, the items are for your own use, and have been transported to the UK by you. This includes gifts, but does not include any item that is intended to be used as payment or to be resold.
If you bring back large quantities of alcohol or tobacco, a Customs Officer is more likely to ask about the purposes for which you hold the goods. This will most likely be the case if you appear at the airport with more than:
3200 cigarettes
400 cigarillos
200 cigars
3 kg of smoking tobacco
110 litres of beer
10 litres of spirits
90 litres of wine
20 litres of fortified wine e.g. port or sherry
Please note the following exceptions stand for these EU countries:
From Estonia - 200 cigarettes or 250g of smoking tobacco*
From Bulgaria, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Slovakia - 200 cigarettes*skintbint x

But that was from Tenerife, a Non - EU country, Poland is an EU member.0 -
but they are not treated as such they are classed as A8, all the ones that joined a few years ago (2004?)did not get the same "duty free rights" unless it changed in the last two years when my BIL got caught however the quote i quoted was from the CURRENT information on the heathrow website maybe they are wrong then, as well as the customs and excise website today and quoted below
From some EU countries there are limits on the amount of tobacco products you can bring back without paying UK duty.
From CZECH REPUBLIC - 200 cigarettes or 250g of smoking tobacco or 50 cigars or 100 cigarillos
From ESTONIA - 200 cigarettes or 250g of smoking tobacco*
From HUNGARY, LATVIA, LITHUANIA, POLAND, SLOVAKIA OR SLOVENIA - 200 cigarettes*
*No limit on other tobacco products as long as they are for your own use.
am only trying to warn others what happened to my BIL as he was under the same impression and my sister took it up with her MP.skintbint x

You're wrong and the websites wrong.
There are no countries in the EU now with any restrictions on importation of dutyable goods.

You claim the customs and excise website says otherwise, two points we havent been c&e for almost 7 years and hetes the link to a notice 1 which shows travellers allowances/guidelines
