  • Funnily enough I was chatting with my plumber this week about our plans to upgrade out back boiler, he advised me never to go with Ideal, said that they are unreliable and he gets more call outs for them than any other. He said Worcester are a little more pricey but much more reliable.
  • Noooooooooooooooooo:eek:

My OH vowed never to fit another Ideal after the Icos/Isar fiasco.... btw, many RGIs feel the same.

Yeah, i know the Icos/Isar were shocking, but apparently these are mile sbetter and come with a 5yr guarantee.

I was on the Ideal presentation evening earlier this week and even though I have also vowed never to fit another Ideal boiler, I have to admit to being impressed with the new design of the Logic +.

I still don't know if I trust Ideal as a company though, so will still refrain from chancing fitting one for the time being.

i've heard their customer service is pretty shocking - is this true? This thing comes with a 5yr guarantee which is quite good.

Yes their call centre is usueless, but they tried to assure me that I would be given a priority number so when I called I would bypass all of this and get a 'no quibble' warranty section that would act instantly on my call.

Trouble is, to see if it is true I would have to fit one.

Many boilers now come with a 5 year warranty.
