Actually given the EA actually switched it off in this weather i would be annoyed too, who doesn't know that's a bad idea.

I'm not sure there is anything you can do though unless there is any info about looking after your property in the info they give you maybe?

It wouldn't have needed turned ON if they hadn't turned it OFF in the first place.....
  • Who is "they" when you say "they turned it off"? Tenants, workmen, Letting agent, Estate agent?

Was it always off, from August, or turned off more recently?

You, or the Letting Agent if fully managing the property, should have a check-out procedure that covers this and other aspects. And steps in place to handle the coming of winter, and the approach of summer - or do you want big fuel bills for heating an empty house through the summer?

If you sacked the LA when deciding to sell, what actions did you put in place to look after the property from the point when your LA contract ended?

You still haven't answered other people about whether the contract was a fully managed one or not...

What EAs go round, after a viewing or whatever, changing central heating settings..? They might not lock everything up, or other oversights, but to go out of their way to do something - that in Sept, perhaps - might have appeared sensible - i.e. to save a heating bill - is hopeful...

If it was ever on...if tenants left in August, who would turn it on?
