iPhone Ringer Switch Problem

My Iphone 3G PAYG bought from Tesco in Feb 10

Last couple of days the ringer switch is playing up. I'll put on silent but it'll still think it's on normal.

If i touch the switch, it'll start to vibrate and show the bell sign, followed by the bell with a line through, and kept alternating continuously.

Still under warranty - should i take it to an Apple store or?

What do you say?

I'd start off with seeing what Tesco say.

You might get a replacement, whereas Apple will want to fix it.

Return it to Apple either by post or book a Genius appintment if you have a local store.

Apple won't fix yours they'll replace it with another whcih becomes yours, it will go to be fixed them be moved on to someone else.

Apple don't like there customers without the toys so hence the swap out service, but again if you want to do it in store you need to book in advance.

Spoke to Apple and they have given me a case number and made an appt to drop the phone off at my local store.

The store will then decide what to do, but most likely replace

Almost certainly. They won't repair in store, so as long as the problem is demonstratable you'll get a swap.
