Yay! Finally get to post here!! :D

    Ok, here goes...

    LBM: November 2010

Debts at highest point: Around £4500

    DFD: 11th September 2012

Pearl of Wisdom: Don't allow a bad money situation to get you down; use it as a spur to turn it all around, grab it by the balls and attack sensibly, plan your repayments (Rome wasn't built in a day!) and choose your accounts and loans correctly, ensuring that all interest is kept to a minimum wherever possible! It saved me nearly a £1000 by doing this alone! Finally, plan your Snowball Plan on https://www.whatsthecost.com ...it set me straight and got me to where I am today!

It's tough at times as we all know on here, but consistancy is key and don't lose sight of that big important target you set yourself!

Thanks MSE-er's, been amazing, couldn't have done it without you! :)

Pearl of Wisdom: Start TODAY! Waiting only makes thing worse, I speak from experience. Read ALL the MSE forums especially OS, DFW, and UYI. Without MSE I would never have cleared my debts in such a short time. There are thousands of ways to save or make £1 on MSE, and they all add up faster than you could imagine!

    Well done

I think an important thing hre is about control and that if we look hard enough we can assert some control to save or earn extra, from little acorns big oaks do grow!

    Enjoy your DF life.

    Hi

I think the emergency fund is a challenge for most of us. I have a full one pound in my budget for contingency!!! Not my choice but imposed upon I may add.

    d) Pearl of Wisdom : It may seem like a long road at first, and yes you will get your down days/weeks/months. Getting into debt is easy, getting out of it isn't. Be prepared to make some sacrifces. Don't keep wishing for a lottery win :rotfl:(I frequently did although I hardly ever do the lottery). You will get to the end of the road eventually and it will be worth it. Oh and read, read, read these boards, full of invaluable advice and tips and lovely non-judgemental people who only too willing to help.

    Good luck
