    I was deluding myself that all my debt was for the house, which is not untrue, but in the meanwhile I didn't change my lifestyle at all so the debs spiraled out of control. --> don't delude yourself and save for what you want

    D) My one pearl of wisdom – Try and pay more than standard payments on mortgage and credit cards, be savvy, moving to cheaper alternatives (gas/electric/broadband) use cashback sites, big buys double check for best deal.

    Pearl of Wisdom: You will have dark days where you dont think you will see the end of it but trust me you will. After 6 years of paying into my IVA and scrapping the barrel every month I now have money to treat myself and my partner. Just never give up and never try getting credit elsewhere!
