Doesn't UK Car Discounts show 2 prices?

One where you are the first registered keeper, generally with very little off the list price, and one where the car has been pre-registered?

Honestly? They don't. Most are middle aged blokes who don't give a toss It'll maybe have done 80+ down the motorway but it'll have been in top gear.

I don't know where this fallacy has come from but its just that, a fallacy.

Not only that, but if they do any damage on the way and you refuse the car because of it/want discount, they have to pay for it...

At least all the drivers I ever met (from leasing companies-but they are all from an agency) were worried I find something on delivery. I cannot imagine why would it work differently for private clients.

Well it was new with delivery mileage. I expected that (not the dirt but that's not an issue).
What I didn't expect was it to be registered to a car hire firm for 6 months.

I checked the ford site and it says the manufacturers warranty goes with the car not the owner so it's not a problem.

    The seller says

"This process is a very common practice in the automotive industry and in no way invalidates the vehicles warrant and nor does it have any impact on the vehicles residual value."

Well, if it was 6 mths registered somewhere else, that means it has previous half a year reg.. Did you not know that it is going to come with 10 reg?

Anything involving how trade platers drive the cars is going to vary with the individual driver.

I've picked up and chatted with a fair few. More than one have told me about having fun drives in some very expensive cars, most of them seemed more sensible.

Luck of the draw really. Does the car have an onboard trip computer that could give you it's average speed and MPG as this will provide some clue as to how it's been driven.

If you entered into a contract to buy a 'new' car what you have isn't 'new' and you should reject it.

I've looked at the website and nowhere does it suggest they use the dodgy methods of pre registering, but the website isn't the contract of sale.

Either it was sold to you as " new " or sold as " Pre Reg ", if it was sold to you and described as " new " then you should take the matter further because you have been cheated.

You have not received what was agreed and thus, the company is in breach of the SOGA.

The car was new (apart from delivery milage) when I received it 6 months or so ago.
The issue is that during this time it has been registered to a car hire company and only recently transferred to me.
The do say it can take months for the registration to arrive - I didn't realise it was because they had to send off change of registration.

I'm assuming this means that I owned the car (and it has had a single owner) but that the car wasn't registered to me.
That must be the case or I wouldn't have been able to insure it as my own car?

    ?

Then it wasn't " new ", it has one previous recorded keeper.

A " new " car will only have your name on the V5.
