SKY+ help please

After a power cut, our sky+ box has no "functionality", no live pause etc & no planner.
Last time this happened we phoned Sky,tried a few things & ended up loosing all our recordings.

Does anybody know how to fix this without loosing everything recorded?

Please, the frozen pipe & flood that caused the power to go off was bad enough!!!!

Unplug the box from the mains.Press & hold down the 'Back up' button on the Sky plus,keep holding it & turn the power back on.Keep holding the Back Up button until you get a message on the TV & all the lights come on the front of the box.
When the message goes away, wait a couiple minutes & torn the box back on.

Thanks, but we've tried that one & it didn't work.

i think we've tried most things, i guess we're gonna loose everything but you never know, all the clever people on here.

Seems to be 50-60%, does this make a difference?

No ideas from anyone then.
I thought I'd pass on the end of the story i case it's of use to anyone.

Just left it a couple of days waiting for any ideas, put it on taday & hey presto there it all is with no damage, one failed recording from yesterday. Patience.
