PPP error on TalkTalk Broadband

Hi,

I'm having problems with my TalkTalk broadband.

Could not log onto broadband so last week the assist programme said I should reboot, I did, and it worked but I had to do this every day when I logged on.

This week it's says I have a password problem, with a PPP error

Does anyone know what this means.

I've had it for nearly a month now, and it was great, no problems, I wondered what all the fuss was about.
First time speed was 2.2mbps but last week it's up to 5.6 then 6.2mbps and now I can't get in!

Anyone else have a similiar problem like that or might know what to do?

Cheers
B.

My father was having problems trying to log in to Talktalk yesterday and after a little search I found some users have unknowingly had their passwords reset by Talktalk.

To check if your using the correct password dial the automated line on 08700 875562 ( must use a phone on the line the Talktalk broadband is on ) and you will get your details read out to you by the nice machine.

Yea, I had done a bit of calling that line previously as well.

Then logged on for the first time last night, and I got straight in!

However, kept on losing my connection after 15 minutes, logged out, logged in again same thing around 20 mins connection time then the internet pages don't load up.

Am wondering if I might have gone over the 40gb capped limit but don't think I would have, that is more than enough ( even through watching videos through YouTube? )

  • have a look at the ADSLguide website http://bbs.adslguide.org.uk/postlist.php?Cat=&Board=talktalk maybe your line has been unbundled. There are a couple of people who obviousley work for talktalk on this site, who are very helpful. They make it clear that they are not representing talktalk, but are helping out, off their own backs.
