i don't see how that makes the world less safe

Because prior to Wikileaks releasing the top 100 most bombable targets the South West & Scotland had a reasonable chance of avoiding the coming months drops in 'ouse prices.

Next we will have McTwattish on here calling for the execution of Ms Khan for promoting the destruction of his Estate Agency.

do you think buck palace has been devalued too. or isn't that on the list? i can almost imagine heads of state being disappointed if they aren't considered strategic enough....

I think all the celebs who think this is a good thing for freedom of information a newspaper should do the following.

    Publish their
    Address
    Telephone numbers
any other relevent information private information about them.
Something tells me they will not be so backing of open to all information then.

Wikileaks are doing nothing but causing danger to the general public now.

They now seem hell bent on releasing stuff which is of no use to anyone accept those who want to threaten national security.

I am sure the people who work at any of the sites of world importance released the other day are so greatfull they released them, not.

Rubbish. It's showing the government for who they are. Cough hiding details on murdered journalists in Iraq, accident doesn't cut it.

Mastercard and paypal get what they deserve for bowing down to US pressure and use the clause as a cover up.

I agree with Really2 on this issue. I can understand publishing data where politicians have lied or sexed up dossiers, however making a list of potential strategic targets widely available is not (IMHO) a good idea.

Should one of these strategic sites be targetted by terrorists, governments will likely use it as an excuse to pass draconian internet censorship laws. The fallout will be freedom of information and networking sites suffering.

Odd how stalkers and fans can found out the address and often the telephone number of celebs.

It's not actually that hard if you are obsessed as the weakest link in any sort of information is the people you trust with it, and the more people you trust i.e. a few thousand in the case of the US, then the more chance of that information getting out.

What you mean releasing information like that Prince Andrew is thought of as a fool and a tw*t by diplomats and journalists? And doesn't seem to have a problem with bribes which journalists just don't understand?
