I think all the celebs who think this is a good thing for freedom of information a newspaper should do the following.
Publish their
Address
Telephone numbers
any other relevent information private information about them.
Something tells me they will not be so backing of open to all information then.
.
you can pretty much find out this information if you try hard enough. however i think there is a big difference between personal privacy and national privacy. i support wikileaks and what they do / are doing. Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves. - Lord Byron0 -

Wikileaks are doing nothing but causing danger to the general public now.
They now seem hell bent on releasing stuff which is of no use to anyone accept those who want to threaten national security.
I am sure the people who work at any of the sites of world importance released the other day are so greatfull they released them, not.
?
Wikileaks isn't attacking mastercard or anyone else. It is an anarchist hacker group that has tried to join into the 'cause'.
As for releasing sensitive national security documents, I honestly don't believe that there is anything in these leaks that terrorists and enemy foreign states don't already know.
This database was available to 3 million people. Heck, that's how wikileaks got it. Are you telling me that none of these 3 million people were a foreign spy? Do you honestly believe that these documents were 'secret' from the kind of players than can spend tens or hundreds of millions on informants?
The can't even keep it secret against an organisation that pays nothing for leaks.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

I was perplexed as to the whole tone of your post, Really2. You were claiming they were endangering lives. Have you looked at the material released? Can you give me an example of a single document which endangered lives? Has the US given an example of any document that endangers lives?
Even if the released documents do endanger lives, do you believe that it has not already fallen into enemy hands when, even before the leak, it was available to millions of people, and copying the entire database appears to have been as simple as pressing a few keys?
Wikileaks paid nothing for these leaks... foreign powers like Iran would be willing to pay millions... I think its obvious that foreign agencies already had this information.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

Is there? freedom of information is freedom of information. I am sure if I worked a site classed as of strategic importance I would not see the difference to be honest.
I have supported some of the things they have done but not recently.
Anyone maybe able to get the info, but is there any need to make it easily obtainable?
Also on the arrest until found innocent I find it hard to support the man and so should the celebrities jumping on the publicity band wagon, what if he is guilty, not making it great for the victims (alleged) are they??
Stich up or not, it is best to reserve judgment until evidence is submited and a court has decided, that works for guilty or not guilty.0 -

Err so you dont think some loan extremist cell would not be motivated by such information.
Of cause a list of potential harming targets could put lives at risk, it does not have to be a state behind terror. It could be a nut job in a back bedroom?
Did you know how to get hold of the information? I didn't
people forget far to easily that most terror is not masterminded 1000's of miles away.
It is usually carried out by groups of like minded individuals.0 -

Frankly, I don't know how to get hold of this information because I don't want or need to know. If I was Iran, I don't think it would be hard to obtain.
I think the fact a private sector organisation with very limited funds and small reach can obtain this type of information speaks a lot about how securely the USA keeps its strategic information.
