Can I return a TV within 24 hours?

Morning,
Feeling a bit sheepish but....
Last night walked into Bennetts to have a look for a PC monitor and walked out with a 32inch LCD Samsung Tv for £380!!
Its an ex display model and is very good, trouble is we became impulsive and shouldn't have paid there and then.
Also we can find same model (LE32C530) at £300 elsewhere.
What are our chances to walk back in the store tonight and get a refund??

Thanks (in advance) for your comments

You can ask but don't be surprised if they tell you where to go.

I would rate your chances as zero.
  • I had looked at website, saw info you mentioned. When we paid last night we mentioned about returns/manufacture guarantee. The cashier told us they had a 28 day return policy plus a year guarantee. Not sure if that just applies to defects?!

No chance at all unless they have their own returns policy. You have legal right to a return whatsoever just because you've changed your mind.

PS:Returns policy below, but that will apply to online orders only. Distance Seling regs do not aply to instore purchases, only phone or web orders.

If the TV is faulty you are entitled to a refund.

Are you sure that the TV does not have an intermittent fault which means that sometimes the on/off switch works and sometimes it doesn't? ;)

    Or a replacement!

Which would mean even after lying and making up a fault the OP would still have a TV they didn't want;)

But the OP did want it. They just wish now they hadn't paid £80 extra for an ex-display model.
