O2 Simplicity pay and go for iphone?

Hi everyone. Trying to claw through a bad month financially (thanks, snow!) and save up for uni at the same time so cutting outgoings wherever I can and thought I could save some money by changing from my £20 a month simplicity contract to a £5 a month unlimited texts simplicity pay and go sim.. I realize I'll have to change my number or transfer it, that doesn't bother me. But does it mean I will be charged for wi fi? The only time I use wi fi is at home to be honest, will that cost me? I can live without 3g etc...

Why not buy a Ferrari and drive at 30mph while you are at it?

The features of an Iphone mean that you need data to use it properly and if you want to use your home wi-fi, then you will have a PC, so why would you want an Iphone for home use only???????????????

a more helpful answer is, no you will not be charged anything for using your home wifi, and it is super easy to turn off 3G data as there is a menu switch that says 'turn off data'.

all it does it turn your iphone into a sudo ipod touch with phone and texts, your apps will still work, you can still listen to music and watch videos.

there really is not much loss from not having data, I cant say I see many people constantly walking round surfing the web on their phone.

Thank you, there is a lot more to an iphone than using 3g and I'm sick of paying an extra £15 a month for the privilege of checking my emails and facebook on the move... I can just check when I get to a computer
