I did a car boot sale today.

It went ok but the one we really wanted to go to was cancelled so I probably didn't make as much money as I could have done.

Oh well! I made £77.71 and gave my bf £10 for helping.

Also made 15p selling something to my friend and she coloured my hair, so I had a shower at her house and saved myself a few pence on the water meter at my house.

I am tempted to do more car boot sales.

Maybe 1 every 3 weeks if I can make it pay.

I haven't sold on ebay for ages, I am put off by the fees and postage costs.

Hi I'm new to this...I'm not sure if I'll be able to do the 11k challenge but what is the sealed pot challenge?

And are there any other challenges or tips anyone can give me? Iv signed up to some survey sites as additional income (even though it cam take a while) but that's it! X

The sealed pot challenge is in another thread > https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2899192
Basically the aim is to get a sealed pot and fill it until the end of the year and then you end up with however much you've put in there but all in one go :D (mine isn't working out so well because I've descovered how to retreive the money with a knife at the right angle).

There's a whole list of challenges somewhere (although I can't find where it is). Some of them are quite good. Some are money saving related and some aren't, e.g flylady thread. Although I'm not sure whether that's a challenge. It's basically to clean your house - motivation stylee.

Dooyoo is a good site, if you like reviewing. You build up miles quickly as people read your posts.

Aaah I see, I may start in June (no harm giving it a try) which would mean my target is £6,416.67!

Will need to rummage through all my clothes etc to see if I can sell anything on eBay! Magpie is also a good site if ur DVDs/games aren't selling on eBay!

I joined dooyoo...if you want to earn cash it says you have to have saved 50,000 miles...what does that equate to n how much do you get for putting up a reward...people rating etc?

    Thanks.

I always assumed it would be £50 but not sure. I'm debating whether to cash mine in for amazon vouchers cause I always buy Christmas presents from there. plus I never treat myself so it might give me more insentive to buy the DVD and CD I've been after for a while (waiting for the price to come down atm ;) )
