hales you are doing well this year but agree that its time for a couple of challenges however i wont be taking part as i am away next two weekends .also will need to get back into routine of work .
however managed to get 0% cc for 9 mths so that will save me £100 as currently only minimum payment and this way full amount goes to debt so adding to total .
think maybe first challenge should be a where can you save money challenge ie switch energy, insurance, food brands, walk instead of drive although listening to the rain outside dont think i will do that one lol
So finally debt free and it feels amazing however continuing here to stay debt free.Next declutter house and body and finally swim under that waterfall x

    Hi Hales,
sorry to hear you are feeling a bit down. big big hugs to you.
Might do a little mini challenge series next week - a bit bit of mid march motivation.lol.
Am quite snowed under this week but will get my thinking cap on for next week.
Its probably been a strange few weeks for you with your arm and everything else you have had going on. you're allowed a little blue time hun and heres to the happier days that are about to wing their way to you.

yeah im up for mini challenges. i think when your working so hard to earn/save cash that every now and then you can get sidetracked. i know im doing extremly well, considering ive never had savings in my life only a huge o/d. now i owe nothing and saving towards house deposit or wedding, not sure which one yet!! however, even knowing that i feel at the moment a bit deflated like im not getting nowhere. i think a mini challenge would give me something to work towards short term, and be in hands reach.

  • Morning all!

I won £10 on lotto again last night,so that was another very lucky dip :D Ive got £50 tracking in quidco for my new phone but,as usual,i will not count it until it hits the bank. Ive got DD's old car seat back from my FIL's car and its still like new so hopefully i will get at least £10 for it. Im also finding ebay so hit and miss atm, i had a really good run-up until now,but im finding it so slow and hard going atm that im tempted to give it a miss for a bit and just car boot everything - one pitch for £7 as opposed to unlimited ebay fees and everything likely to go for 99p....hmmmm!

  • yep SSN ebay has gone very slow for me too, seems to happen after a free listing weekend ?

also have an not received case raised against me, never happened before i have signed proof of posting but dont know if that counts for anything. i tell buyers if they want recorded to message me and i will adjust the costs. will wait and see.

about to head out into the snow and gales to start delivering my census questionnaires..... brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr:eek:

i too would welcome a mini challenge, not done one of those yet.

    Hi Skint,

I know exactly what you mean! I'm also finding that things have slowed down and figuring out the next steps to take is really hard! Oh what to do?!
I would love to think that I could achieve the 11k mark(very much optimism on my part, positive thinking and all that!) but even achieving half or three quarters of that would be amazing!
Just need a plan after I've sold all my "junk";) as i'm not sure where to go from there?!

aggh! i had one of those too,so miffed as i responded and gave the buyer the option of waiting until next monday as thats when the 15 days set by royal mail is up,next thing i know, ebay have said that ive agreed to refund the buyer! That puts my RM claim as invalid as well 15 days didnt pass and so the item might not actually be lost...

I'm getting into the swing of things a bit more now! I'm working away on one poll and am up to £5.20 and 50p on VO so I'll keep going!

I got £10 of shopping free at Sainos yesterday by using nectar points so that's another £10 into savings plus loose change in the pot and virtual change. I've got £6.93 pending on cash back but will wait until that reaches my bank before declaring it.

Still waiting for my £51 winnings from bingo.

Opened up a reward account with Halifax so that's another £5 per month.

Once some hard cash has reached my account I'll update my signature.

I would love a mini challenge too...
