  • I'm finding it really hard to make money at the moment :( I keep missing out on things but i'm liking the sound of all these bingo winnings! I think i'll have to have a look at the bingo thread, although it looked pretty long yesterday! Just emailed a friend to see if a car is still for sale for £100. Hopefully it is and I can break it and sell the parts on eBay!

Hope everyone else is having more luck than me!!!

19p cashback from a hotel I booked - although the total is not jaw dropping it is the first time I have sucessfully used a cashback site and would never have done it before reading these tips/starting this challenge so that's the achievement really!

Well done Tina. It might be a small amount at first but I think it's about getting into the habit. Imagine all the pressies and homeware you buy in a year - if you did them all through cashback sites it would really mount up. Last year I had to replace two mattresses. So I waited for a large supermarket to do some half price promotions and then ordered on line. Other posters sent me delivery codes and extra % discount codes and I managed to get a really great deal and cash back later - came in just as I was a bit skint.

Also worth posting other Dribblers and letting us know when you're on the lookout for things - so we can all help - many eyes and all that.

    So well done you. :rotfl:

My update up to 12 watchers on my sewing machine on ebay have had some interest in meeting to pick it up – but having seen a few posts about it being a possible scam, I think I will send it out by courier – less hassle that way.

Worked on my objectives and business plans for the year, and seem to be on track with quite a few of them which has made me really positive! I have quite a bit left to sell at home, and get rid of I guestimate about £100.

Have about another £250 coming, over £300 if the sewing machine goes – but, I won’t get that till next month, but I am still really happy with what I have made so far. Really all about finishing off these projects, will get some done over the next few days and weekend. But, it has to be quality – I won’t allow myself to make any mistakes or compromise on my standards.

    Useful links

If anyone is interested in extra income my link of the day is
http://www.dsa.org.uk/ I have no experience of any of the companies apart from Avon which Nixi has said good things about and there is a thread on MSE.

Also these guys are meant to be quite good: National Centre for Social Research hires freelance interviewers for both face to face and telephone interviews
. This role is flexible too.

Also Lionbridge are hiring - they have a good rate of pay, well above minimum wage by all accounts and as long as you have the internet, this is a job that can be done from home.

My final helpful link is This book: The Richest man in Babylon. I wish I read it before I every heard the word credit card, but it has some really great ideas and a really good book about changing the way you view and use money.
Catch you all later and happy money making!

Received my winnings from Costa & Sing this morning so another £104 to add to my total, I have some set up costs to take off for the new business but will do that at the end of every month.

Good luck everyone today with your money making, off to play free bingo only need about 40p to reach withdrawl on City bingo, fingers crossed!

Edit: Just won 75p on City so now over the withdrawl limit, will carry on playing for a while then make a withdraw!!

Hello which free bingo ones do you use on city? Thanks
  • Hi All,

Hope everyone is getting on well with the money making :)

I would just like to report that thanks to the motivation and support from this post (and the MSE forum as a whole) I'm nearly back in the black on my current account :D

And to top it off, when I get paid on the 15th, I'm going to be able to clear one of my credit cards completely with the extra money I've made! :T

It's only £229 and I have two others with over £8k(), but those are on 0% until November where as I'm being charged intrest on this small amount.

I'll have to update my signature to reflect the sales as MSE have removed it :( (Granted I put links to my eBay shop and Amazon page - free advertising I thought until I read the rules! :rotfl:)

Just thought I'd share as I'm so happy for the first time about money in ages! So everyone keep going - we can do this :)
    :DDEBT FREE SINCE 25.07.14! :D

I am playing all 3 free games on City, plus the free games on Sing Bingo and Costa Bingo, I have won around £18 on Sing Bingo free games and very little on Costa free games, the majority of my free bingo wins have come from City Bingo.
