Wow maybe I should get my old gold out. One of the necklaces I bought with some money an Aunt left me but I could really put the money to good use at present.

I literally searched every nook and cranny in the house to find anything that was not being used. If it was at the bottom of the jewellery box it wasnt being used in my opinion so I sent it all off. I had around 25gms of 9ct and 5gms of 22 ct

Do you have to know what carat it is before you can send it off, not sure I would know how to

Skint Student nurse - I think if you are selling home made food at a bootsale you would have to be a registered business and go through the food hygeine hoops for whatever certification you need.
Skintbint does cakes so she will know more. plus there is a thread on up your income called money for baking or something similar.
    hope that helps

Well I'm going to count my money jar monies and see how much I have to get me started!

Hey I have a little tip, unless you already do this! At the end of every day put ALL you loose change in jars (I use Pringle tubs haha) and the next day draw out more cash to use then put all the change in at the end of the day. You do go through money quicker I guess but this spare money might be used for things you don't really need. You know if the change is in your pocket you more likely to spend it.

Be good to know if anyone else does that?

Just got £25 in from December's tasty vegetables. So I'm adding that to my cash saved total and anothr book sold for a few bob. Brings me up to £376.55. Did a frugal shop in Mr T's just veggies and drinks. Will be making lots of home made soup - great in this cold weather. ;)
