Onepoll paid £40 into my paypal account today, just one day after I reached the £40 target. That's a very quick payout.

    £146.12/£11000
    Don't mess with pensioners.
  • Evening all!

Unexpected on today. Noticed on my Electricity Bill I was over £100 in credit and this being my first time living away from home I wasn't sure if this could be cashed in or not. I phoned British Gas and got £82 of it back after a meter read so I am adding that to my total as although its still my normal money it is from last year and thus added to this years total as extra income. Nice boost to that! I also ended up saving £9 a month with £50 credit in july and the chance to link my account to nectar points so all wins!

Plans for the weekend include at least 6 mystery shops so gonna boost my income some more and knocked out the usual reviews on dooyoo etc today.

Never expected to be £300 up at this stage so its been a superb 2 weeks for me to start the year off
  • Hi all.

With my good lady wife doing extra overtime..I think we should be millionaires in around...errrm...20 years or so!! :rotfl::rotfl:

My secret sealed pot is also filling up, but I will not open it or count it till december for the ultimate surprise...Just got to give up the fags following a pathetic attempt this week:(

Oh Nikki, you sound like me. That is what I take when I have a banging head PLUS a can of full sugar coke. It works nearly every time. I'd recommend you try it if you're still in pain. Has to be full sugar though, diet doesn't do any good. Hope you feel better soon. :)

nb. Don't go over the top though, you could get a sugar hangover!

I prefer a heavy dose of caffeine and paracetamol myself. Ibuprofen actually gives me a headache so avoid that!

Well i've got a car boot planned a week Sunday. My Mum's coming down and has said she'll take me up there. I've v excited! Also come up with a brilliant plan. Am going to buy some wholesale make-up and bits and car boot them with any oney I make so that I can get rid of my crap and hopefully make a profit. So far have managed to get 24 urbay decay eyeshadows for £1 each. Am planning on selling them for £2.50 so that should get me £60. I'm also bidding on a couple of other things on ebay which i'm hoping I get.
I've bagged up my homemade jewellery and need to price that up to car boot also.
I'm hoping to rope in a friend who drives and try to set up a maarket stall. Every week on a Thurs morning there's one locally in the summer so I need to phone the council and find out about how you book a spot.
I'm reall excited now to try and make some cash! I figure if my friend and I both put in £100, we should get enough stock to start us off and hopefully, if we sell stuff with 100% mark up and get it cheap enough we'll manage to sell quickly.

Who would pay £2.50 for a new urban decay loose eyeshadow? Is that achievable doyou think?
Also any other ideas about what we could sell?

Ohhh just won 100 lip balms for £9.38!!! Sets of 2 so that works out at just under 19p each!!! Will try and sell for 60p each andthat should make me £30! Yay! How exciting!
    2022 Comp total (prizes + free spins): £494.81 #20 £12 a day Jan: £382.95/£372 #57 360 1p challenge: £17.70 £10 a day Feb: £571.09/£280 March: £311.96/£310

Its perfectly feasible that someone would pay £2.50 for a UD eyeshadow. UD is a good brand, I think their eyeshadows retail about £7-£9. I know I got the new pallette for Xmas (RRP £27) which was limited edition and people were paying silly money on Ebay for it. I should have got 2 or 3 of them lol.

I'm not a make up geek honest :rotfl:

Long Tall Sally - I am fairly sure that once your items have a bid you cannot amend the item's details at all. If you think about it, it would be unfair to change the price/postage once someone has placed a bid. I do think though that you can end the auction early - as in cancel the whole thing. You could then relist correctly if you have made a mistake. Just check there are no charges.

Thanks for the info. I haven't had any bids on it so I will investigate whether I can remove it without any cost.

  • Hi People,

Just a quick question. I know if we are going to earn serious extra cash, through stuff like mystery shopping and buying to sell on ebay etc. then we should really be letting the taxman know, (even though im sure a lot of people on here dont lol).

But what about really small amounts of money, which is earned through things such as survey sites, i.e. yougov and one poll?

Thanks guys, look forward to your thoughts.
