Good luck with the car boots too
They weren't doing too well in our part of the world before Christmas (Cornwall). I went and checked some out but the traders were complaining that no-one was spending. I hope it picks up this year. I'm affiliated to ebay and I make a few pennies or a couple of pounds every day from other people's sales. Also I've just discovered Crowdology which seems quite good.
    Don't mess with pensioners.

Could someone help me please? I've listed 10 items on ebay last weekend free listing. I only have one bid of £1.50 on 1 item. What am I doing wrong? Should I extend the listing time - only put on for 7 days? Should I tinker with the listings & possibly incur listing fees or just forget it?
    Thanks beforehand.

Choille... as far as I know ebay will charge you an insertion fee for amendments to 'free listings'..... when are they due to finish? If you don't sell much this time I would put it down to experience and relist unless they are valuable items. I find that most items are best ending on a thursday or Sunday at around 8pm ish.... You might find that on a free listing day that the 'market' is flooded somewhat and things sell for less or not at all......

    Hope that helps!!

get cooking!! if you have raw meat that has been in the freezer then let it defrost, cook it and then refreeze... hope that helps to save a few pennies :)

Still no plan from me today, life is taking over :( and I am at a total loss as to how I am going to do the challenge this time round....

Off to plan my planting/sowing for the next few months...

Thanks for that mambury - Some end on Fri & some Sat. I will wait & see & try again with different stuff - just a bit disappointed.

Guess it is a bit flooded as it was free listing 7 everyone is doing it.

hi first time round on ebay i struggled,i have bought several small items and raised my score to 42,also have a new camera so photos are much better doing well with my listings, but it has taken me months to list again after being dissappointed first time.
i would search for similar items that you have listed see if they are selling well if so is it because the seller has a good score, better photos, starting price etc you get to put them back on for free and you can modify your adverts .
also cut and paste the ones that are selling and set your advert out in a similar layout
So finally debt free and it feels amazing however continuing here to stay debt free.Next declutter house and body and finally swim under that waterfall x

Thanks Elly - I have kinda found that there aren't bids on their/similar stuff either - so I think it is the item maybe. Although I wonder if I am not in enough categories - I think it costs more/costs a fee to be in more than one?

I also sold something the other week - very first thing I sold - really went out of my way coz of weather & they got a new designer top for £2 & I left positive feedback for them - they never bothered to give me feedback at all. I felt that was really selfish of them as I had to walk through snow & ice to get to the post office a good distance away.
Thanks elly - I'll keep plugging on & will relist if I have to.
