    Hi all

Been away for the weekend and don't think I'll get the chance to catch up with the thread as its moving so fast. I haven't posted an up date for a while but have been reading as much as possible and keeping motivated.

This has also stopped me from over spending even with the weekend away. Although as yet I'm not counting savings (although used an initial £217 to get the party started). I'll probably count money that I would have had to spend if I hadn't found a replacement so OHs 10.00 lottery win has gone on pet food and a bottle of champagne left over from Christmas will go for a birthday present. I would have used £20.00 from the bank for these so will transfer £20.00 over.

OH hasn't spent much either but that's mainly because he is an addtional account holder on my CC account and has managed to lock his card by using the wrong pin, I keep "forgetting" to ring up and get it reactivated :rotfl:

Anyway the MB is back under way so we're counting the balance from that, I've received £4.00 for two very old broken mobiles, I still need to get more on Ebay to de-clutter but unsurprisingly my two old exercise videos didn't sell.

I've a plan for the cash now as well, we've been paying double mortgage for two years now as OHs job is so unstable so would like to help that along with another lump payment of 10% I'm hoping when my statement comes in this will be less than £4000. In addition to that because I've paid so much extra off the mortgage I haven't spent a penny on the house and it doesn't look like the flat roof on my Kitchen extention will last much longer:(

Right I'm going to have a look back to see how you've all been getting on over the past couple of days, might get a few more ideas;)

    Well done all

  • Hi Folks,

I'm a newbie to this money saving stuff so if anyone has any pointers they would be much appreciated. Decided to stop smoking so I reckon that will save me about £80 a month. I also do some survey sites but they seem to be few and far between just now. Love this forum as it is full of useful tips and hints.

  • Jan 10th

Had a break on Sunday and got back into things today with £14.50 earned from two mystery shops, one about 2 seconds away from my work and the other over the phone.

Did a few surveys etc and kept my reviews going and still chuffed with my payments so far

Another review done and to whoever it was who reminded me about ciao, thank you! Somehow I made about another 12p over the last few days which has taken me over the payout mark so I've requested! It says it can take ages though so ho-hum!
Is anyone else here on DY?
  • Well done Jak!!

    Every little helps! :-)

  • Evening all,

Just been catching up whilst the addictive competition is down! Won £30 ESPN Goals Season ticket, am not going to use it but am going to gift it to a friend and count it in my total as I said I was going to include comp wins. Am only counting the things that actually come thru the letterbox.

Am having lots of NSDs but not very many 'earning days' at the mo.....

Still awaiting the 'envelope' from Tesco Mobile Phone Recycling, requested 29th Dec and still not received, has this happened to anyone-else? Have previously used Mazuma, who were very quick, unfortunatly this time they weren't offering the best price. Will include this as & when the money comes in.

    Keep up the good work!
    LM :)

Also, does anyone want a refferal to my voice? its a survey site which (compared to others I've used) is reliable and pays well. Im only asking because I'm 75% of the way to cash out and I want to have something to add to my total!
PM me your email if you want (I think I get 25p but every little helps right!?!!)

PS little mama have you checked the MSE mobile cashback checker to ensure youre getting the best deal? Sounds like you have but its worth a quick click! (unless Tesco is the highest!)
