Hi, Can anyone recommend some mystery shopping sites please. There seems so many and I don't want to get caught out with a dodgy one.

Well folks iv been quiet on the earnings front...been busy decorating, gutting and cleaning my room. Spending tomorrow browsing at a car boot with gf...Its more for the walk than anything else. Back to work on Monday at long last! Been a long 2 weeks holiday! From now on i think i should take a week max at a time if im not going away!! With the spreadsheet from this thread i set up my budget etc...all looks good and looking like im on target for this month already! Aim for my budget was to have £400 in this challenge by the end of Jan(off money from just over time, homers etc) and im well over that already...might not have anymore to come this month though, might be next month il have a bit overpayment!! Cant wait! If i stick to the budget then i will have £10,000 in the challenge account from just overtime at the end of the year! So need to find something to make me £2,000! Selling my second car will raise £700 or so down to £1,300 left to make £12,000, not £11,000! This is my year! I hope to post up a photo BEFORE 2012 of my bank statement reading at least £12,000!! That will be amazing!
Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.

Wow its great to see how well everyone is doing. I'm a bit slow off the mark but listed 10 items on ebay today.
Skint hope your dog is better soon.
Has anyone heard from Munchki, Amber, Paula, Mabel, Mambury and saucy (elle) I miss them. I will go over to the ville later and check on there.
    Rosie xx

Hey Rosie, 'saw' Munchki on Facebook, Mabel on Twitter although I need to whizz her an email and check in ***Mabel where are you!***,
Mambury was posting towards the end of last year - but I know that Amber and Elle have been on the Ville.
Hope you are well hun x

Tra - for mystery shopping I can say that GFK are fantastic, Retail eyes and ABAI aren't bad either. I got some of my best jobs from GFK but I haven't used them for quite some time.

Sticky77 - Might be worth sticking the money and saving it sealed pot style. I did that with my money last year and had £91 :)

Ebay auctions are done and I am up £108 feeling really happy about that. Still a bit sleepy though, it is all good who said that the wicked don't rest :)

  • Nothing new to report from me really. I had a go on costa bingo but I won't be doing that again as I'm now down £10! hmmmm!

So an unproductive couple of days after a good start. I have one or two things on ebay today but I'll have to wait till they end to find out what they hopefully make.

There aren't any mystery shops for my area on RE at the moment so no extra there. Can anyone recommend any others which are good/pay more?

Well done to everyone who is making money!!!
Rubbish at moneysaving!!... but going to give it a good try :)

UhOh, in a bid not to spend a fortune on the OH's birthday cake I have decided to make rocky road cupcakes (idea 'borrowed' from the cash for baking thread) Eep!!

Kind of want to make his birthday cake too but no idea what theme to go for ??? Hmmm.

Watch this, i'll get abuse from OH's family as OH's lil sis is starting up a cupcake business . Oh well.

Hardly money making news but i do have most of the ingredients so it shouldn't cost TOO much.

Skint - lovely cake making guru that you are, where can I buy a decent piping bag? Or am I as well with disposables? I want to make pretty cupcakes (then scoff them all hehe, thank god I have a good metabolism rofl)

Hi all. A little update from me. I still have the £84 to go into my account which was in my coin jar which started me off. I have began to sort through the hundreds of toys that ocupy this house and have a box full for an NCT sale that I'm hoping to do in March. More wil be added. I'm told that you can do quite well at these sales. Had a chat with a lady that regularly does them re pricing so fingers crossed.

I am really pleased so far with my lack of spending and budgeting. Hopefully that will become second nature very soon and I can save more each month than I normally do.

Other than that, I need to get my bottom into gear with ebay etc. Anyone want to give me a virtaul kick up it? lol

To be fair I haven't actually looked. Well unless you count me looking at every job on direct gov and going 'i'll do that' to every funny sounding one. I had a blonde moment and thought the job advert for 'a plumbers mate' actually meant he wanted a friend :rotfl:. Oops!

The bar job will be getting axed as there mucking me around however I will need to get off my bum and look for a new one. Just a pain because all the night jobs seem to have been taken up by Christmas temps who have been kept on :(.

You look like your doing well, sticking to your budget etc. I think I'll need a lotto win to meet my target! :D
