Private Car Park Ticket - Please help

  • Forgot to mention that they have stated the DVLA confirms I am the owner of the vehicle but surely the DVLA cannot give out these details anyway? I stupidly appealed the ticket in the first instance giving them my address? x

I am afraid giving out information is a nice little earner for the DVLA. It does not make the Mickey Mouse 'fine' legitimate. Ignore all letters unless they are court papers. Town and Country do not do court.
Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!
  • DVLA are not a lot of help to the ppc as they only give out the keepers name. The keeper is often not the driver, so as any argument is with the driver its not a lot of help really.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

Hi guys! I received a letter from Town & Country Parking stating I must pay the fine which I have ignored. I just received another today claiming they will start debt recovery. I am going to continue to ignore. I'll keep you posted. x

It is NOT A FINE it is an INVOICE, which by it's nature and content may be contractually unfair. They may well be reluctant to chance their arm in court against a "clued up" adversary

It's Town ans Sh1tty isn't it, not Town and Country?

Their full letter-chain is well-known and shown in pics on our first sticky thread by Crabman. See the thread 'PPC letters, what to expect' at or near the top here and look at the T&C links:

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=163

Then if you haven't read other relevant threads you may want to read a few more, the whole first page shown is all relevant and recent (except for Council PCN threads and the ParkRight sticky thread, don't read them, just stick to rubbish PPC cases like yours). It's amazingly common.

If you are expecting the next letter it's quite funny when it arrives just like in our pics! :D
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
