In any case I have written proof that the application was for a Vantage account and I would quite like the November interest. I guess I will have to phone them. Odd that they have no secure e-mail facility on their website.
I opened three Classic with Vantage accounts, all with the max amount suggested
to get the 4%. I was struggling a bit to arrange the £1k transfers from one a/c to another every month. When I 'phoned for help a lovely young man did it for me there and then. Great! On the very long thread a few pages back people had said that the staff know what people are doing i.e. using these a/cs as savings a/cs and don't seem bothered. One person had managed to get five a/cs.
The only criticism I have is that their web site is awful. You can click on something that takes you to another page which seems to be blank. You have to remember to scroll right down to find the info required.
Oh, and I never thought to tell them I didn't want the cards and paying in books. I will get rid of it all soon.0 -

I opened a Vantage account in mid-November and transferred in £7k. The welcome letter said it is a Vantage account but online it just says Classic account. I was expecting to receive interest in early December, but nothing yet. Is interest paid a month after the initial deposit? Or have I got the wrong account? (there is no mention of Vantage when I click on the Upgrade button)
I had a similar problem when i applied online, it just gave me a classic account. Go into a Lloyds store and ask them if your account has vantage, if they say no, tell them to add it, should only take a few mins.Faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.0 -

Up until a few months ago each person was allowed 7 accounts but now it's down to threeKeep the Faith:cool:0 -
Do you know if you can have 3 sole accounts and 3 joint accounts (with my OH)??0
-
My wife has 5 in her sole name - she's a non-tax payers
And I have 3 in my name - but they wont let me have any more0 -
I've got 3 but they wont let my OH have more than one!
Tried in the branch. they wanted to know why - we concocted stories about budgeting etc but they werent having it. (Opened a stupid savings a/c instead at a v poor rate of interest)
Tried online but it wouldnt work.
Tried by phone - no joy. But may try again and get a different person?0 -
ISTR their own literature suggested multiple accounts to help with budgeting. Yeah, I'd keep trying by phone until they give in. One tack you could try is to ask for just a classic account, and then later ask for it to be upgraded to vantage. (Might be able to upgrade it online ?)0
