Bathing a toddler - with no bath!

Hi everyone,
I'm after any ideas and suggestions you may have to help us out.
My son lives with us and his toddler daughter (age 2) stays with him/us 3days/2nights and another day within the week and, as toddlers do, often requires a full bath however she's now outgrown her baby bath. We don't have a full size bath as my OH is disabled and we have a walk in shower which obviously isn't suitable for cleaning up a toddler!
Does anyone have any ideas for a way we can bath the toddler?
Thanks

Some parents I know bring an inflatable paddling pool to their caravan, put it in the shower and fill with the shower hose?
I shower DS much more than he gets bathed, and this had been the case since he was 2. He didnt' like it at the start, but he's happy enough with it now.The IVF worked;DS born 2006.0 -
I've never done it but just a thought...places like homebase, b&q etc sell large 'bendy' buckets in the garden sections. We use one for our outside toys. Could put water in that? Does your shower hose allow you to hold it rather than be fixed to the wall? Sometimes I put my youngest in the bath and use the shower head on her rather than fill the tub up.0

nothing wrong or hard about a toddler using a shower. Mine went straight from baby bathing to showers with no problem but if you prefer that she baths how about getting one of those small toddler padling pools and fill it with an inch of water from the shower head.0

Have you tried her in the shower? We haven't had a shower since we moved just after our daughter turned two but she used to often have showers.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

I would think the shower is the way forward other wise do what you grandmother did, get a tin bath in front of the [STRIKE]fire[/STRIKE] TV.

Of course - a paddling pool! It's obvious when you think about it!
Susan, we have tried her with the shower and she screamed blue murder! We hope that if we can introduce the shower as a game it may 'familiarise' her to it, there just wasn't the room as she outgrew the baby bath.
Thank you very much everyone!0 -
Use the shower. You already have it and wont cost you any extra to get anything else! Is the shower completely flat (not all walk-ins are). If not, perhaps get a plug to put in the bottom of the shower and she can have a shallow bath in the shower tray.0

Can she go in the kitchen sink? All of ours do (eldest is 6) when we can't be bothered with a full bath. Not all at the same time, mind!0

What about if you went in with her? This is what we used to do when on holiday without a bath.0

Yep I can vouch for that. Ikea sell them called Trugs (I think). My parents do it for my DS when he goes camping with them. They've been doing it since he was 1.5 years old (he's now 4.5). DS loves his "trug bath". All they've done is buy a bigger one when he outgrows the little one. And it doesnt go to waste as a lot of camping stuff is stored in it and he plays with it during the day lol0
