Santander Flexible ISA payout date
deutsch
Back in April, I opened this account at 3.2% (or 2.7% + base rate). The interest and payout date is 1st March 2011. This is before the new tax year start date in April, so I know I won't get a full years interest anyway.
I want to transfer this to an existing ISA elsewhere as soon as possible once I've received the interest. How quick are ISA transfers? When should I start preparing? What problems will I come across with "Santander"?
Say the transfer was after the 1st March 2011. If I closed my account, would I get a pro rata interest for the time it was in there? E.g. Closed 16th March 2011. (15 days interest?) I do want to close the account after I've transfered the money.

Mine took 6 weeks. How quick are ISA transfers?
Anything from 2 weeks plus.
You will get pro-rata interest until it's closed.
There is a period (about a week) when the cheque is in the post, when you will not get any interest because it's in neither ISA.0 -
The high rate lasts for a year from the date that the account was opened, so if you transfer it in April, you'll get interest up to the date of closure added to the balance that is sent elsewhere.0
